About Lori Carter

Hello, my name is Lori and I’m a true child of the seventies. I grew up in a small Texas town. If you’ve ever seen the movie Dazed and Confused then you’ve seen a glimpse of my past. I’m a mother, storyteller, lover of nature, cooking and exploring natural folk remedies for addressing today’s health concerns. I hope you enjoying reading my little blog and I welcome any comments you may wish to share with me.

  1. Oh, my, that is a stunning moon. It makes me think of the post I wrote a while back, “Awe and Wonder”. I remember driving around the bend in the freeway, seeing that enormous moon just sitting there in the sky, her beauty unparalleled. I remember feeling so small, yet so special because I had glimpsed her.

Thanks for sharing this, Lori. Did you snap it, too?

    • We were blessed with this gorgeous moon on June 3rd of this year. I remember that post of yours and I agree, when we are lucky enough to witness something so grand, it does bring on a sense of awe and wonder. Something at my core awakens and I somehow feel connected to it all. You know what I mean?

The photo credit goes to my wonderful hubby, though. I did buy him the fancy new camera to take it with. 😉

      • I absolutely know what you mean.

Oh, you and I are so alike. With any of the posts containing pictures — the ones I don’t borrow from Google Images — my husband is to thank and credit. However . . . some of the credit should do to me for buying the fancy camera, right? 😉 And so it is for you!
Tell your husband I enjoyed his photo.

        Xoxo

  2. Love it. Check out the song by Jason Mraz called “Bella Luna”- made me think of it right away. Cool pix. That influencing moon staring down. Everything is bigger in Texas, this was no exception earlier this month.
