Hello, my name is Lori and I’m a true child of the seventies. I grew up in a small Texas town. If you’ve ever seen the movie Dazed and Confused then you’ve seen a glimpse of my past.
I’m a mother, wife, storyteller, lover of nature, vegetarian cooking and exploring natural folk remedies for addressing today’s health concerns. I hope you enjoying reading my little blog and I welcome any comments you may wish to share with me.
Hi Lori, I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy and appreciated your blog so I have a little bit of a surprise for you! Come check it out, Donna
love that title, “bless your hippie heart.” although i’m not old enough to be classified there (born ’62), my spirit belongs.
Thank you! I was born in 62 as well and I’m only a hippie in spirit. Growing up in a small Texas town, I never really had the opportunity to take part in any of the historic events, but I’ve allways been a free spirit and preferred the counterculture rather than the conformist way of life.
Hello, Lori – I saw that you stopped-by my blog yesterday…thank you for visiting and for letting me know you were there.
Nice blog you have here…I rather enjoyed browsing through your photos…and reading your blood-bank story. Eesh…what an adventure.
Thank you, Scott! Anyone who uses the word “sundry” and has a peace sign gravatar must surely be a kindred spirit.
I look forward to following your blog.
Peace and Blessings!
Lori
You’re welcome, Lori…and I do rather like the word “sundry.” Seems like we were born in the same year (info gleaned from another comment), and my wife (Lori) and I have been referred to as hippies by our kids and their friends, so I think we are in good company with each other. I hope you enjoy what you find in my little corner of the world…and I shall be tagging along with you, as well.
Take care…and will see you here and there.
STHU! My husband’s name is Scott. I kid you not. Lol!
We haven’t known each other long enough for you to start lying to me….
How funny is that?!!
You’ve been nominated.

Eeee! I’m checking it out now!
Yay vegetarians( I’m one too)!
I can attest to the Dazed and Confused comment. I was there for some of the fun. What a wonderful, beautiful and loving blog. My heart is bursting.
Kelli! Yes we have experienced many crazy and fun times together. Some of my favorite memories were spent with you. We need to go all out this year on our “big five oh” birthday and do something monumental to add to the list! I’m thinking maybe tequila shots and tattoos.
I love you to the stars!
I would really like to be a vegetarian, but my house has such a hard time giving up bacon, lol.
Folk remedies are fantastic! I absolutely love anything and everything that is a natural alternative when it comes to healing something.
Thanks for stopping by! I love a good steak once in a blue moon, but my family will not allow me to have meat in our home. So I guess I am a vegetarian via majority rules.
I look forward to following you and learning more about your world.
Cheers!
Lori
Lol, that’s as good a reason as any to be a vegetarian.
I look forward to getting to know you too!
Hi Lori, I enjoyed your blog; do you have a starter of Kombucha I can get from you?
Hello Gary!
Thanks for stopping by, I am so glad to have you! I do not have a kombucha mother, but I’ll pass on the following resource: http://www.kombuchakamp.com/kombucha-cultures
CHEERS! I’ll raise a glass of kombucha to your health!
Lori
Hello, dear one, I have awarded you! Come check it out.
